Flow meters

Prometro offers a complete range of industrial flowmeters engineered for accuracy, durability, and ease of integration. From electromagnetic and ultrasonic to vortex, turbine, Coriolis, and thermal mass flowmeters — each category is designed to meet specific application needs across water treatment, energy, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and environmental sectors. Explore the technologies below to find the best solution for your process.

Electromagnetic flowmeters

Electromagnetic flowmeters operates based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction and is designed for highly accurate volume flow measurement of conductive liquids in closed pipelines. It is ideal for measuring corrosive fluids such as acids, alkalis, and saline solutions. Thanks to its robust design and chemical resistance, this flowmeter is widely used across industries including petrochemical, metallurgy, textile, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, as well as municipal water, wastewater, and environmental engineering.

Vortex Flowmeter

Vortex Flowmeter uses the proven von Kármán vortex shedding principle, where a fluid passing a fixed obstacle creates alternating vortices. The frequency of these vortices is directly proportional to flow velocity and is detected by a piezoelectric sensor. It’s engineered for measuring liquids, gases, and steam—including turbulent or particulate-laden fluids—making it robust and versatile for demanding industrial environments. Used across industries—such as petrochemical, power, chemicals, food & beverage, environmental processing—where high-precision measurement of steam, compressed air, natural gas, and low-viscosity liquids is essential.

Turbine Flowmeter

Turbine Flowmeter use a precision-engineered rotor that spins with the liquid flow, measuring volume with high repeatability and low pressure loss. These meters are ideal for clean, low-viscosity liquids such as water, beverage, lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, organic liquid, inorganic liquid without fiberandparticleimpurities, etc. Available in flange, thread, and clamp connection options, they are used across industries like water treatment, food & beverage, and chemical processing, where fast and reliable flow data is critical.

Thermal Mass Flowmeter

Thermal Mass Flowmeters utilize thermal dispersion technology to accurately measure gas mass flow in real-time. These compact instruments use a heated sensing element to detect temperature differences caused by gas flow, delivering direct mass flow readings without the need for pressure or temperature compensation. Available in both intelligent metal-tube and micro‑flow versions, they are designed for ease of installation and reliable performance in industrial settings. With no moving parts and robust digital outputs (4‑20 mA, RS485), these meters are commonly used for compressed air, energy monitoring, leakage detection, and process control in sectors like HVAC, utilities, and manufacturing.

Coriolis Mass Flowmeter

Coriolis Mass Flowmeters utilize the Coriolis force principle to directly measure mass flow, along with density and temperature, offering unmatched accuracy and reliability. Suitable for pipe sizes ranging from DN 8 to DN 350, they provide accuracy options from ±0.1% to ±0.5% and pressure handling up to 40MPa . With onboard compensation and multiple output options—including 4–20 mA, pulse, RS‑485/Modbus, and HART—they are ideal for industries such as chemical, petroleum, food, pharmaceuticals, and paper. Additionally, with IP67-rated sensors and IP65 transmitters, these meters ensure reliable performance in demanding environments

Ultrasonic Flowmeter

Ultrasonic Flowmeters offer non-invasive, highly accurate flow measurement by using ultrasonic signals to detect flow velocity in liquid-filled pipes. With both clamp-on and insertion sensor options, these meters are ideal for applications where pipe modification is not desirable. The technology suits a wide range of fluids — from clean water to liquids with suspended particles — and supports pipe sizes from DN 32 to DN 6000 mm. Ultrasonic flowmeters are commonly used in HVAC systems, water treatment, industrial process monitoring, and energy metering, offering multiple output formats such as 4–20 mA, RS485/Modbus, and optional heat measurement capabilities.
